The 200 year old Village of Aldie celebrates its history and heritage with the annual Harvest Festival the 3rd Saturday in October.  This year the Festival will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010, throughout the Village of Aldie.   From 9:00AM to 5:00PM, come tour this quaint historic Village and enjoy family-friendly entertainment, demonstrations, vendors, crafts, food, baked goods and more.   Not to be missed during the Festival is a tour of the historic Aldie Mill where grinding demonstrations featuring Aldie’s rare double waterwheels (pending enough water in the stream!) will be held.    The Blacksmiths Guild of the Potomac will be giving free demonstrations behind the Aldie Mill.  Admission is FREE.   Parking is available at Church of our Redeemer, for a suggested donation of $5 per car.  The Village of Aldie is centered around the Mill at 39401 John Mosby Highway.
